R-papers
Revival! Rejuvenation! Renewal!
Those words are positive. So positive, so refreshing. (Look! Another positive “R” word!)
Retarded, Retakes, Revolting, Relent.
You get the point.
I hate R-papers.
I hate punk.
Bring me the likes of Muse, Beatles and the tapes of Decemberists; the lethal combination’s fatal to the ears, but not deafening definitely.
I’m immensely bored with life as of now. Going out to spend a bit more on music stuff coming days ahead. But that will be coupled with plenty of restraint because NEWSFLASH.
29th October: Mother Tongue ‘A’ Level Examination
2nd November: Project Work ‘A’ Level Oral Presentation
5th November: Handing in of GPF and I&R
After which, liberation. I shall go to island creamery, video ezy, and my favourite store of the century, Davis Guitar! To tighten up the screws on my guitar of course. Getting a little more warped than usual. Gah.
Chinese beckons tomorrow, not sure if I can take the fatigue.
Still lovin’ those munchy donuts. <3
No matter how hard I try, it is not enough
Not enough for you, you and you.
I once again am impressed with myself for keeping such a uplifted spirit. I hate myself.
The days spent a-gazing at the ceiling fan.
The fan whirs on. In fact, the fans. The two fans mounted haphazardly on the wall; the ceiling fans that seem to twirl inefficiently between the two lights, all dangling precariously from the 24 year-old wall.
These are sights and sounds you’d catch at where I entrust my academic progress. It’s not a marvelous place to be caught in, but it’s cosy, somewhat quiet and non-distracting. Or perhaps it’s just a psychological thing.
The two days spent at my humble abode was ineffective in aiding my pursuit of A’s in the coming Promotionals. (Note to self: The spoiler on an upcoming show is hot because of [what's her name again?] Lin Xiang Ping. <3 ) The wages of falling sick is hard to pay up, it’s a debt that I fail to match up to.
This is not a good thing. More than 50 chapters to study. I’ve wasted two days slacking lazing around at home doing more than nothing.
Absolutely zilch.
But today, I’ve spent a total of 8 hours 30 minutes xx seconds in the Council Room and Canteen studying. With the help of Calvin and certain seniors, I managed to scrape through the day studying 1/3 of the load I’ve set for today and tomorrow!
That’s 4 chapters off 12!
Of course, this marks a good start to the week.
Or rather, the upcoming weeks leading up to the Promotionals.
The three fans whir on. I stand undefeated.
